THE PEMBROKESHIRE LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY The Pembrokeshire Local History Society was established in order to promote the study of local history in the county and to encourage the compilation and preservation of permanent records of past and present events. The Society organises lectures and courses during the winter months and arranges excursions to sites and places of historical interest during the summer, and carries out researches, including the recording of dialects, folk-songs and folk-lore. Membership of the Society is open to anyone who is desirous of promoting its aims, upon payment of an annual subscription of 50p.
