Agricultural History Review (The journal of the British Agricultural History Society) Published since 1953 The BAHS has a worldwide membership of around 1,000 consisting of people from all walks of life. It holds two conferences a year in April and December, and exists to further the study of rural history from the earliest times to the present day. Each issue of the Review contains five or six major articles and extensive book reviews. The Society aims to encourage innovation within the subject and this is reflected in the contents of its journal, which appears in March and September. Pretty Production and Trade in Garden Seeds by Malcolm Thick The Foldcourse System in West Sussex by Mark Bailey The Diary of James Warne 1758 by Gordon Mingay The Society also publishes occasional supplements of around 15,000 words on topics of special interest.
