They had undertaken the work at a difficult time and had succeeded in re-building and reviving the Society's activities which had been suspended during the war years. The resignations were accepted with regret and, on the Chairman's proposition, it was agreed to place on record ah expression of appreciation and gratitude. Sir William LI. Davies, Mr. Ieuan T. Hughes, Mr. Henry Morgan, Miss A. Gower Jones, and Professors R. F. Treharne and T. Jones Pierce added their tributes. On the proposition of Sir William Ll. Davies, seconded by Mr. Ieuan T. Hughes, it was unanimously agreed to invite Dr. J. Henry Jones, Director of Education, to be honorary secretary. It was also agreed, on the proposition of Mr. D. G. Griffiths, seconded by Professor T. Jones Pierce, to invite Mr. Ieuan Rhisiart Davies, B.A., Assistant County Librarian, to be financial secretary. Professor Jones Pierce gave notice of motion to consider the advisability of altering the Society's constitution by designating the office of financial secretary as that of assistant secretary. Morgan) presented the financial statement for the past year and reported that the bank balance that day was £ 122. The statement was adopted. The Honorary Editor (Sir William LI. Attention was called to the need for increased membership in order to improve the financial position and to ensure the continuance of Ceredigion. In reply to Mrs. Frost Smith, the Chairman promised that inquiries would be made respecting the preservation of the Nanteos Cup. The Chairman welcomed Mr. D. Caradog Morris, H.M.I., on his first attendance as a member of the Committee. Mr. J. R.
