The Late LORD LISBURNE The Right Honourable Ernest Edmund Henry Malet Vaughan, seventh Earl of Lisburne, became President of the Society in 1928, and honoured it by remaining in office until his death in June 1965. Despite many other calls on his services, he retained an active interest in the affairs of the Society, and although failing health in the latter years of his life prevented him from attending meetings of the Society, j his letters testify to this interest. The Vaughans of Trawscoed have a prominent place in the history of Cardiganshire, and the contribution of the seventh Earl, our late President, is noteworthy.
