Walter Lloyd (eldest son of Walter and Marion Lloyd) of Natal married Louise Thompson, by whom he had a son Walter John ("Jack") Lloyd of Natal. W. J. Lloyd married Euphemia Craig (who married secondly C. S. Richards), by whom he had a son Ian Stewart Lloyd. Ian Stewart Lloyd, born on 30 May 1921, was educated at Michael- tower, the University of Witwatersrand, and King's College, Cambridge and Administrative Staff College, Henley. He became President of the Cambridge Union, and leader of the Cambridge tour of U.S.A. in 1947. He graduated B.A., proceeded M.A., in 1951, and M.Sc. in 1952. He was Economics Adviser to the Central Mining and Invest- ment Corporation in 1949-52, Member of the South African Board of Trade and Industries 1952-55, Director of Action Society Trust in 1956, Chairman of the United Kingdom Committee. He has been Economic Adviser to British and Commonwealth Shipping since 1956, and Director of Research from 1956 to 1964. In 1964, and again in 1970, he was elected Member of Parliament (Conservative) for the Langstone Division of Portsmouth, and in 1974 for the Havant and Waterloo Division. In 1951 Ian Stewart Lloyd married Frances Dorward Addison, daughter of the Hon. W. Addison, C.M.G., O.B.E., M.C., D.C.M., by whom he has three sons 1. Jonathan Stewart Lloyd, Lieutenant, Grenadier Guards 2. Mark William Lloyd 3. Peregrine Murray Addison Lloyd. We now turn to Lewis Howard Lloyd, younger son of Walter and Marion Lloyd. He lived at Durban, Natal, and married Charlotte Winifred Gladys Treffry-Goadey of Goatley Lees, Isle of Thanet. He was a Justice of the Peace and a Deputy Lieutenant. He died on 7 January 1930 and his will was proved on 30 July of that year. His estate was valued at £ 3i,i77.i2s.od. L. H. Lloyd left five children. 1. Edward Howard Lloyd born 13 February 1913, in due course in- herited the Coedmore estate, and came to live at the mansion on the death of Mrs. T. E. Lloyd in 1947. Educated at Cheltenham College, he served in the Pembroke Yeomanry, and became a captain during World War II. He was for some time a member of the Cardiganshire County Council. and Master of the Tivyside Foxhounds. He married Ella Marjorie Ninon, daughter of J. H. Phillips of Newport, Mon- mouthshire. Captain Lloyd died on 4 December 1966, and was buried with his ancestors at Llangoedmore. He left two children (a) Edward David Mortimer Lloyd, born 15 May 1940, educated at Chelten- ham College, and now of Coedmore. (b) Pamela Mary, born 6 January 1936, 2. Dudley Walter Lloyd of Hafodwen, Llechryd, B.A. of the University of London a writer, he died unmarried in December 1971. 3. Thomas Howard Lewis Lloyd of St. Dogmaels.
