The Arenig Region: a stady in the Webh Pleistocene B.M.ROWLANDS Principal Lecturer, City of Liverpool College of Higher Education (Received July 1977: in revised form May 1978) Abetract The glaciation of the Arenig region is examined in the light of prev- ious research and evidence of glacial erosion and deposition. The paper argues using evidence of erratics that there was no move- ment of ice into the Arenig region from any external source. The date for the Arenig ice sheet is placed in the Upper Devensian.
