The Annual General Meeting of the Society was held at the Radnor College of Further Education, Llandrindod Wells, on Saturday, 1st November 1975, at 3 p.m., about fifty-five members being present. The Chair was taken by Mr. Ffransis Payne, Chairman of the Executive Committee. The Minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting, held on 2nd November 1974, were read and adopted. Arising out of the Minutes it was confirmed that the Society would continue to print a full list of members every three years, with annual additions, changes of address, and corrections, where needed. Howse Memorial. It was reported that the Parochial Church Council of Presteigne was unable to accede to the Society's request for permission to erect a memorial tablet in St. Andrews' Church to the late Mr. W. H. Howse, M.B.E., F.S.A., antiquarian and historian of the county, who died in 1966. It was the declared wish of the Meeting that the Committee should pursue the matter further and take any steps which it thought appropriate. The Report of the Hon. Secretaries was then presented, followed by the Report of the Hon. Treasurer. Hon. Secretaries* Report. Another feature has been the fact that a number of new residents in the area have joined the Society and we welcome them as members and appreciate their interest in the county of their adoption. Membership. At the 30th September 1975 the following totals were noted Single memberships-248; Dual memberships-104; Insti- tutional memberships-47, making a final total of 503, which is our highest figure to date. A supplementary list of new members, together with certain corrections and changes of address in the complete list of members which was published in the last volume of TRANSACTIONS, appears at the end of this Volume. Excursions. In accordance with the wishes of last year's Annual General Meeting two outings were arranged in the course of this year. The first excursion took place on Wednesday, 28th May, and consisted of a series of visits to Llanddewi Hall, Llanbister Church, Monaughty, Pilleth Church, The Rodd, Upper Dolley, and Hen Burfa. The theme of the programme was related to European Architectural Heritage Year and the Society is most grateful to the owners of the houses and to the incumbents of the churches for their whole-hearted co-operation. A particular debt of gratitude is owed to Mr. Harry Brooksby, a member of
