LETTERS To the Editors of Nature in Wales Sir, I am drawing up plans for a Scientific-Naturalist expedition to Africa in 1961, which will last until 1964, and I wondered if any of your readers would be interested in accompanying the expedition, in order to make a study of the wild life, which is my primary concern. I would like to point out, however, that I prefer people who have any qualifications in Zoology, but this is not essential, as this part of the programme will be carried out in any case. Any interested person should write to me within fourteen days of this letter going to print, when I shall send such persons full details of the plans which I have compiled. Further to this, I should like to state that the progress of the expedition so far is generally good, although, as can be expected of an expedition of such vast proportions, I still have a great deal of work to do as yet, before everything is settled. There are still many problems to be ironed out, but I have been promised support by many firms, which, relating to supplies of food and equipment, I have given top priority. One final point. I require only four people for the purpose outlined above. Yours faithfully, J. A. Gibson, Organizer. Trans-Africa Expedition, 1961-1964. 20 Crossley Terrace, Palmersville, Forest Hall, Newcastle upon Tyne, 12.
