HOPE JONES The Nature Conservancy The presence of Lapland Buntings (Calcarius lapponicus) in Anglesey does not appear to have been recorded previously four birds seen on 15th November 1960 thus constitute the first record of this species in the county. During the course of work on the Newborough Warren-Ynys Llanddwyn National Nature Reserve in south-west Anglesey, Lapland Buntings were seen on several occasions.
