BARDSEY BIRD AND FIELD OBSERVATORY YNYS ENLLI CAERNARVONSHIRE Come and spend a holiday on this unspoilt island, noted for its birds, grey seals, varied marine life and interesting flora. All naturalists, beginners as well as experienced, welcome to stay in the (converted farmhouse) Observatory. Usually partial catering, but some full-board weeks. Courses led by well-known ornithologists. Bookings Saturday to Saturday. Open March to October. Write for details to: Mrs. R. A. L. Bond, Wensheda, Clapper Green, Hunton, Maidstone, Kent. Papers, articles and reviews are welcomed for consideration for publication in Nature in Wales. They should relate to natural history in Wales. They should be typed double-spaced on one side only of the paper. Since underlining indicates to the printer the use of italic type, and is difficult to remove from typescripts, con- tributors should not underline words unless they are quite sure that these are to be printed in italics (as, for example, in the case of scientific names and book titles). The form of date used in this journal is 20th June 1964, not 20th June, 1964 or June 20th, 1964. Line drawings should be in indian ink, on stout white paper or board, and should be larger in scale than they are intended to be when published. The lettering, if any, should be in pencil unless it is done by one who is experienced in lettering work. Photographs will be considered. They should be of reasonably bold or contrasting subjects fine detail and uniform tones are unsuitable for reproduction. Proofs will be submitted to authors. Alterations that would upset lines of type cannot be made. Number, dates and tables should be carefully checked for typographical errors. Authors will receive twelve free offprints of their papers or articles published in Nature in Wales. Extra offprints can be supplied at cost. A stamped addressed envelope must be sent with correspondence if a reply is required.
