Notes and Queries. QUERIES. Query 77. — Some time ago I heard Mr. David Roberts, Compositor, who served his apprenticeship at the Old Tyst Office, Chapel Walks, Liverpool, say that a monthly periodical, F.Cap 4to, called Blodau Man, was published for some time at that office. The title of the publication was impressed on his memory by a name given to it by an Englishman employed at the time, who on being asked as to what one of the other employees was doing, replied that he was working on the Bloody Man.' I have made enquiries in several directions, but have not been able to obtain any information. Have any of your readers heard of the publication ? HUGH EVANS, Brython Office, Bootle. Query 78.-In a book entitled Glossarium Antiquitatum Britanni- carum, etc., autore Willielmo Baxter, Londini, MDCCXIX., there is a page headed Advertisement,' between the Praefatio and Glossarium, in which notice is given of the press preparation of a Collection of writings in the Welsh tongue, to the beginning of the XVIth century, to be printed in several volumes in octavo, each volume to consist of 20 sheets at 5/- a volume, small paper, and io/- large. Proposals at large are delivered and subscriptions taken in by Mr. Alban Thomas at the Royal Society's House in Crane Court, and by Messrs. Wm. John Innys, Booksellers, in St. Paul's Church- yard, London. Were these printed, and can particulars be obtained ? The Vicarage, Rhuddlan. W. J. DAVIES. Query 79.-Can any reader give information as to the possible whereabouts of any Borough Records of Rhuddlan ? Local inquiries seem fruitless, which is somewhat surprising, considering the hundreds of years Rhuddlan remained a Borough. I have heard on good local authority that some forty years ago a considerable quantity of documents relating to Rhuddlan were to be found at Swansea, but where and in whose possession I failed to discover. Can anyone throw any light as to the truth of this statement and information thereon f The writer would be most grateful for any help or suggestion. The Vicarage, Rhuddlan. W. J. Davies. REPLY. Query 76, p. 123. — Your enquirer will find something about Jenkin Thomas Phillips in Vol. I., No. 6, Feb., 1914. A list of his works is given in Watt's Bibliotheca Britannica. J. A. B.
