LLECHID JONES, B.A. THE corner to which these notes lead, on this occasion, is more interesting from its associations than from the im- portance of the books in it, and especially is that so when it is considered as a corner in Welsh Bookland. The books are not Welsh, or relating to Wales, but they are very inter- esting books associated with a Welsh family, and so closely associated with that family that the collection can be considered Welsh. In the month of May of the year 1926, there died in the city of Chester, in ripe old age and high respect, a Mrs. Stolterfoth, the widow of a medical doctor of that name, at one time a well-known man with a wide practice in that city. The surname Stolterfoth looks far removed from Welsh and yet this lady was Welsh, her maiden name having been Mary Elizabeth Price, and she was the very last member of an honourable family, which had filled a large place in the life of North Wales for over two hundred years.
