Notes and Queries. Some day it may be possible to write an account of the private presses in Wales and of Welsh books privately printed. Meanwhile, it is desirable that the venture of the Dolwyddelen Council School in printing its School magazine, Dolwyddegin, should be placed on record. The following notes, taken from the Spring, 1936, issue of the magazine, only faintly convey an idea of the trials and tribulations of the youthful printers. SCHOOL NOTES. PRINTING. The printing press arrived in School before Christmas in the meantime the patience of many boys has been sorely tried. The art of the printer is obviously not to be acquired easily. Still, we are persiting [sic] and although our success at present is only partial, we hope to improve as in all other things. So far, Albert Jenner has been the Printer in Chief, with Oswald Davies, and Arthur Hughes assisting. The other senior boys will be given the opportunity to show their adaptability. Mr. Flint kindly made the lino cut on the 3rd page. We hope this interesting work will be tried by the boys and perhaps by the girls too. W. W.
