The Reverend Richard Farrington, rector of Llangybi. A FURTHER NOTE. B. G. OWENS. A SHORT supplement to an article contributed by the present writer to the Journal, Vol. V, pp. 16-32, is now possible. The National Library of Wales now possesses a photostat facsimile of a copy of the probate of Farrington's will It consists of:- (a) the will, dated 19 August, 1772. He bequeathed his entire estate to Thomas Pennant of Downing, esq., John Richardson of Kingsale, gent., and William Sefton of Chester, gent., in trust to pay his youngest daughter Elizabeth a sum of £ 600 out of the profits and shares of his mines (' her sister Mary'naving already received as much and more '), and thereafter annually to divide the profits of the said mines equally between the said Mary and Elizabeth. He nominated Eleanor, his wife, executrix of his will and bequeathed to her one third part of his shares and profits of d[rw]s y loed [sic] mines. (b) An affidavit of plight and condition, dated 28 October, 1772, and sworn by Richard Richardson of Charing Cross, Saint Martin in the Fields, Middlesex, stockbroker, and Mary Sefton of Chester, widow, testator's sister. (c) The certificate of probate, dated 29 October, 1772. The will establishes the fact, hitherto unrecorded, that Farrington was twice married. This is confirmed by the evidence of Newman Paynter deed No. 128, dated 15 1 N.L.W. MS. 12,355.
