That, in itself, is enough of a reason for me to consider it in my Studies in Welsh Book-land'. This study will be purely bibliographical-the book and not the man, as far as possible. Brewer, in his Introduction to The Court of King James the First, by Dr. Godfrey Goodman,' says: Bishop Hacket's life of Williams is the most valuable record of those times.' The Title-page. The printer, Edw. Jones,' was, according to Plomer's Dictionary of Printers and Booksellers, issued by The Bibliographical Society in 1922: 'Jones (Edward), King's Printer in London, the Savoy; and Dublin, 1788-1705-6. The King's printers, Bill, Hills and Newcombe, having printed the Declaration made by James II against the Prince of Orange, they were, on the accession of William, replaced by Edward Jones.
