[Evan Gravener of Moughtrey died Feb., 1702]. 1721-1726. Loose paper entries. 1726-1756. On the last page specification for repairing Old Vicarage. "Bought by Mr John Evans curate of the Parish and to yr shame never paid for." 1757-1786. Contains Circular to Clergy of the Deanery re Stamp Duties, 1783. 1786-1812. 1. "Aug. 3, 1786, Dr. Jonathan Shipley, Bishop of St. Asaph, held his Confirmation only at Welsh Pool, and the Cha'cellor his Visitation Court at ye same time." 2. Mem "The Rev. Evan Jones, Rr of this par., died 10th July, 1827, and in the month of August following the Rev. Richard John Davies, then residing at Brompton Hall, in the Par. of Churchstoke, was presented to the living by Bp. Luxmoore. The old Parsonage House was a very poor and mean edifice, badly thatched with broom and straw and much out of repair." Mr. Davies built a new house (to the east) and outbuildings, at a cost of £ 2,000, and came into residence in June, 1829. The row of Elm trees planted in 1831.
