THE POWYS-LAND CLUB, THE ANNUAL MEETING, 1915. THE ANNUAL MEETING of the Powys-land Club was held in the Museum, Welshpool, on Thursday afternoon, November 4th The Ven. Archdeacon Thomas, Chairman of the Council, presided, and there were also present the Honorary Secretary, Mr. T. Simpson Jones, the Rev. Canon Davis, D.D., Miss F. Howell, Miss F. E. Howell. Mrs. Morris P. Jones, Mrs. Roper, Miss Jones, Westwood, Mrs. Luxmore, Mr. and Mrs. C. Shuker, Mr. Llewelyn H. Howell, Capt. Lloyd Elliott, Messrs. G. D, Harrison, W. Sinclair Jones, T. W. Sheppard, Robert Owen. The CHAIRMAN said that he regretted that he had to take the Chair, that the President, the Earl of Powys, was not in sufficiently good health to be with them. They all wished him a speedy recovery. The HoN. SECRETARY announced apologies for absence from the President, Mr. Morris P. Jones, D. Lloyd Owen, Mr. J. B. Willans and the Rev. G. Williams, Pool Quay. The HON. SECRETARY also read the Annual Report of the Council, which was as follows :­- The War, which was with us when we met last year, and is with us still, has robbed us of one of our valued members, whose gallantry is attested by the promotion won on the fatal field and whose patriotism and self-sacrifice we take this opportunity of putting on record, Captain Noel Turner. It has also deprived us for a time of two of our most helpful workers, Basil Evan Jones, my colleague and Assistant Editor, and W. A.
