WELSHPOOL TERRIERS. In* Vol. XV. of these transaction will be found copies of three Terriers of the Parish of Welshpool. We now wish to record that a new Terrier has been drawn up under the following title ECCLESIA DE POLA. A True Terrier of all the buildings, glebe lands, messuages, tenements and tithes, and all other rights (also the ornaments, relics, vessels and furnishings of the church) belonging to the Church and Vicarage of Pool, alias Welshpool, in the County of Montgomery' and Diocese of St. Asaph, Anno Domini 1916. A copy has been deposited among the church archives. This very carefully prepared and Endited Terrier is the work of Mr. Robert Owen, who so often has given evidence of his intimate ecclesiastical antiquarian knowledge in our transactions. On this occasion we propose only to make one extract from the Terrier, which shows the close connection between the peaceful Church and the Militant State. The Military trophies presented to the church are as follows:- The old Colours (2) of the Royal Montgomery Militia, deposited in 1872. The new Colours (2) of the Militia (4th South Wales Borderers), deposited in 1908 also 2 Drum-Majors Batons. The Standards (4) of the Montgomeryshire Yeomanry, deposited in 1912. The regimental Colour of the former local Militia of Arwystli and Cyveiliog (West Montgomeryshire), deposited 1914.
