BOUNDARIES OF MONTGOMERY. The following description of the Boundaries of the Parish of Montgomery was sent by the Rector of the Parish, the Rev. W. Edwyn Jones, M.A. The MS. is amongst the Parish deeds, and I wish to record my thanks to him.-Editor, Mont. Colls. The MS. is endorsed: — "A description of the boundary of the Parish of Montgomery as perambulated on the 2nd Day of April 1839 from Notes taken by Charles Mickleburgh." A DESCRIPTION of the line of BOUNDARY of the BOROUGH and PARISH of MONTGOMERY as perambulated on the Second Day of April One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Thirty Nine, After Public Notice had been given to all the adjoining Parishes Namely Churchstoke, Kerry, Llandyssil, Berriew, Forden and Chirbury. BETWEEN CHURCHSTOKE and MONTGOMERY PARISHES, Commencing on Offa's Dyke at the Eastern Side of Lymore Park, a little distance South of Savages Gate, and at the Western Point of a Hedge which divides the Earl of Powis's Moat and Gwarthlow Farms, at which Said Point the Three parishes of Chirbury, Churchstoke and Montgomery unite, thence proceeding Southerly along the Said Dyke to the Black Well in Gwern Llwyd Farm (at which well a Gospel was now read by the Parish Clerk William Weeks) here turning North westerly it proceeds down the rill flowing from the Said Well, through the said Gwern Llwyd Farm, into Lymore Park and continuing along the same through the Park to the influx of a rill running from Llwynobin Farm where it turns Southwesterly and passes up the latter named rill through Lymore upper Park to the Turnpike Road leading from Montgomery to Bishop's Castle, a little distance south of the Hunting wicket leading into the Said Park, whence crossing the Said Road it proceeds up the Said Rill passing the Southern End of Llwynobin Garden and Orchard to an Angle in the Fence of a Close called The Upper Meadow a little distance above
