To Walter de Friburgh, Conredus de Ribstayre, Kayne le Scheller, and brother Frannk, German miners employed at the expense of the Lord Prince by command of the Chancellor and Treasurer of the same Lord Prince to work in the copper mines at Dissard in Englefeld for the profit of the same Lord Prince there, for their wages from the 23rd day of February in the 31St year, the day on which they came to Chester in the care of the Lord Prince, until the 2nd day of March, each counting four weeks and two days, and receiving 7s. 6d. per day by order of the aforesaid Chancellor and Treasurer and other counsellors of the Lord Prince.61. 1os. To Nicholas de Passu, a miner helping the aforesaid miners in the aforesaid work, for his wages for 16 days within the said term at 3d. a day 4s. To two other workmen digging the ore from the afore- said mines, and doing other things for that work by order of the aforesaid miners, for their wages for 18 days within the said term at 2d. a day each 6s. To Hugh de Sprotton, Constable of Rhuddlan Castle, for the carriage of timber from the stock of the same castle to le Dissard to make one winch (Wyndagium) and for the carpenter's wages for making that winch, and for one bucket bought for getting the ore from the earth, and for 16 pieces
