Club Excursions. The Council has decided to arrange three excur- sions during the summer. Members will receive particulars from the Secretaries. One of the excursions will be to the historic manor-house and folk-museum of Tickenhill in Worcestershire, one to the Tanat Valley, and another to the Llanidloes district. A Bronze-Age The Shropshire Archaeological Transactions, 1943, Palstave. p.p. 146-151, contain a description by Miss Lily F. Chitty, F.S.A., of a bronze palstave found on the surface of a ploughed field, just above flood-level, on Trederwen Farm in the parish of Llandrinio. A cast of the implement has been kindly given to the Powys-land Museum. The Historical Society The Society announces that the first number of its of the Church in Journal will be published in June, 1947, and that Wales. the topics dealt with will range from the Age of the Saints to the Twentieth Century. The Society's membership is about six hundred, but it hopes to raise the number to at least a thousand, in order to carry out its projected programme. Regional Committees have been set up in every diocese in Wales, and they will arrange lectures and discussions for members.
