The Annual Meeting APRIL, 1960 The Annual Meeting was held on Saturday, 2nd April, in the Art Room of the Powys-land Museum, by kind permission of the Corporation of Welshpool. The President, the Earl of Powis, was in the chair. There was an attendance of forty-three members and friends, and apologies were received from a further seven members, including our contributor, Mr. W. A. Griffiths, who wrote to say that, though a member for fifty-two years, he had never been able to attend the Annual Meeting. OBITUARY.-The President referred to the loss, on the preceding day, of Col. G. R. D. Harrison, for many years Clerk to the County Council and Clerk of the Peace, a member of the Club since 1917 and a member of the Council from 1930 to 1948. MINuTES.-The Minutes of the Annual Meeting of 1959, which appear in the Collections, were taken as read and approved. CONGRATULATIONS.-It was resolved to send the cordial congratulations of the Club to Miss Amy Jones, daughter of the Founder of the Club, on her 99th birthday on 23rd April. NEW MEMBERS.-The Secretary reported the accession of eight new members during the year, and these were formally elected. INDEx.-The Secretary reported that the revision of the Index to the first fifty- four volumes of the Collections was still proceeding, but that it should be ready for printing during the year. TREASURER'S REPORT.-The Hon. Treasurer presented the audited Balance Sheet for the year ending 31 st December, 1959. On the motion of Mr. T. W. Hughes, seconded by Archdeacon Williams, this was approved, and appears in the Collections. EDITOR'S REpORT.-The Editor reported that there had been delays in the production of the 1958 volume, but that it should be in members' hands in the next few days.
