The buried bone of my life resuscitates is whipped into being by a wave's touch. The shells of my cockle dreams shatter, spurt into powdered whiteness by the sea's rim. The weeds of my drifting years break free, spin clean. We love the day after day sun, sand and sea-plunge. The skeleton feather my time was, purified, bleached is the bookmark of my age and time is still. The bare bones of my youth chapel the pulled sea they are pinpricks of heaven in the day's moving. Personal Note We are delighted and relieved to hear that Councillor Jenkin John, chairman of the Special Area Sub-committee, is recovering from his serious illness. He has always been an enlightened and helpful friend to Gower and the sooner we get his wise counsel back at the committee table the better it will be for all those con- cerned with the special problems of the peninsula.
