7. THE DUNRAVEN DEEDS AND DOCUMENTS. This collection was deposited in the Library in October, 1940, by the Directors of the Dunraven Estates Company, per Mr. Christmas Evans, Bridgend. It comprises manorial records, title deeds, and some miscellaneous documents of the Dunraven estate principally in Glamorgan and of the families of Wyndham and Wyndham- Quin of Dunraven and of the associated families of Edwin and Thomas of Llanvihangel- iuxta-Cowbridge. The manorial records consist of (a) A survey of Penllyne, Langan, and Goston, 1557/8; estreats from surveys of Coity Anglia, 1587, and Glynronthey, 1630; and a volume of surveys of Coity Anglia, 1587, and Glynronthey, 1630; and a volume of surveys of Coity Anglia, Coity Wallia, Lanharry, and Newlands, 1631/2, and of Newcastle and Cefncribwr and Court Colman, 1632. The title deeds and other documents, of which there are over fifteen hundred, cover the period 1531/2-1859 and relate almost entirely to properties in numerous localities in south Glamorgan, particularly in the immediate vicinity of Bridgend. They include about thirty rentals of the Dunraven, Llanvihangel, and Saint Athan estates, 1612-1825 and undated; forty-five deeds and documents of Sir Edward Thomas and Sir Robert Thomas, Llanvihangel, 1569-1704, including a bond for the collection of customs due at the ports of Cardiffe and Swanzey, 1589 a small group of wills and accounts of the family of Mansell of Muddlescombe, Kidwelly, co. Carmarthen, 1674-1692/3 a lease to the Llan- gennech Coal Company of minerals in the parish of Lougher, 1826, reports on the state of the Adare Colliery, 1829, and a small group of original, draft, and copy correspondence between John Randall, Ynislaes Cottage, Neath, and Robert Dunkin, Llangennech, re-
