civil history from the sixteenth century to date, and summarizes, under the names of various states, the literature available in the Library of Congress. As might be expected in any bibliography of the Welsh people the religious history of the Welsh immigrants is also dealt with at length, the final section of the list being entitled Ecclesiastical history, 16th century to date This section is, like the section on civil history, arranged by states. There are some notable omissions from the list, particularly of books published in Great Britain relating to Welsh settlements in America.
