Prif bwrpas y Cylchgrawn yw rhoi cyfle i ysgolheigion ymchwil gyhoeddi erthyglau neu nodiadau byrion wedi'u seilio ar ddefnyddiau a geir yn y Llyfrgell. Dylid cyfeirio pob gohebiaeth at y Llyfrgellydd. Dylid teipio pob cyfraniad ar un ochr y ddalen yn unig, gan ddefnyddio papur maint A4, a gofod dwbl. Defnyddier dyfynodau sengl ac eithrio pan geir dyfyniad y tu mewn i ddyfyniad, pryd y dylid defnyddio dyfnodau dwbl. Os yw'r dyfyniad yn un hir dylid ei roi mewn paragraff ar wahan a'i indentio, ac nid oes angen dyfynodau. Nid oes angen dyfynodau ar farddoniaeth. Dylid cyfeirio at ffynonellau yn 61 y dull a welir isod. The Journal of the National Library of Wales is published by the Council of the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth, Dyfed, under the editorship of the Librarian. It is printed at the private press of the Library and two numbers are published each year. The price per number is L3 50 + postage. The annual subscription is L7 00 post free. The main purpose of the Journal is to enable research scholars to publish articles or short notes based on the Library's resources. All correspondence should be addressed to the Librarian. Every contribution should be typed on one side of the page, using size A4 paper and double spacing. Single quotation marks should be used, except when there is a quotation inside a quotation, when double quotation marks should be used. If the quotation is long it should be put in a separate paragraph and indented and quotation marks are then unnecessary. Quotation marks are not needed when quoting poetry.
