CYNGRAIR Y CENHEDLOEDD Y CYNGOR CYMREIG. On St. David's Day it is our custom as a nation and as a people to dwell upon the past and to think of the future. We recall with pride the heroes that have gone, not the least amongst them Henry Richard, our Apostle of Peace, and we remember, too, with grateful hearts, the sacrifice made for us by thousands of young Welshmen who will never return to the land they loved. In the days of war it was said that in voluntary recruiting Wales led the Empire. In the coming days it is for us to see that Wales will lead the nations towards international unity and concord. As an earnest of the passion of our people for World Peace, the Welsh Council of the League of Nations Union will, in Easter Week, initiate a Campaign for 100,000 Members of the Union by Armistice Day, 1922. We shall seek to establish a Branch of the Union in every Town and in every District, and an Auxiliary Branch in every Church, in every Secondary School, and in every Society throughout the length and breadth of the Principality. This is the work, when the call comes, to which Wales will give of her utmost, and this is the work which, as the years go by, will give to Wales a foremost place amongst the Peoples of the World.
