Born in Newport, Miss Roberts has always lived there apart from the short time spent in "her" village. Her interests are archaeology and the Welsh language, and her hobbies include water colour painting, embroidery, and walking with the Newport Rambling Club, of which she has been a member since 1938. Miss S. Twiston-Davies, Green Gates, The Maypole, Monmouth, NP5 3QH. Formerly a BBC scriptwriter and a regular contributor to "Pre- senting Monmouthshire", Miss Twiston-Davies is a free-lance journalist writing for British, Australian and American periodicals. She now divides her time between Monmouth and the Bahamas where her husband works.
