NOTES ON CONTRIBUTORS Dr. G. O. Osborne 'Ty Melyn, 4 Chapel View, Cwmfelinfach, Ynysddu, Gwent NP1 7GW who was born at Crosskeys, has returned to South Wales after many years of absence, latterly in New Zealand. The Rev. Dr. J. Daryll Evans, 6 Sluvad Road, Panteg, Pontypool NP4 OSX, is Head of the Science Education Section at the South Glamorgan Institute of Higher Education, Cardiff, and Priest-in-charge of Mamhilad with Llanfihangel Pontymoel. While researching his current project, the dedications of Gwent churches, he became diverted into a detailed study of the document which is the subject of his present article. J. Is about to publish a new edition of Sir John Wynn of Gwydir's History of the Gwydir Family. Gillian Holt Newport Reference Library, John Frost Square, Newport Gillian Works for Newport Reference Library and as part of her job she compiled a pack aimed primarily at schools about the Westgate Hotel. The article is based on material in the pack the originals of which are all lodged in Newport Reference Library.
