CLASS II
Norton Cross, Skenfrith-for a school with only 12 pupils the volume
of work produced for this project was staggering. Topics covered
included Victorian Schools (including a trip to St. Fagans), Evacuees
and All Our Memories which involved taping the memories of the
village's senior citizens.
Llanofer-project concentrating on Lady Augusta Hall and her influence
on the village. Field work was conbined with interviews with local people
to produce a very colourful and informative project.
Llanfair Cilgedin-taking the Monmouth and Brecon Canal as their
starting point the school explored the area's industrial connections, and
association with the Crawshay dynasty of Merthyr. Family history research
was also undertaken-and large (and colourful) family trees produced.
