REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE For the Year 1905-6. The Committee have pleasure in submitting to the members the Thirty-ninth Annual Report of the Society:- The number of members at the close of last Session was 380 Elected during 1905-6 63 443 Resignations and Removals 31 Deaths 6 37 406 The members are thus distributed :­ Honorary Members 7 Life Members 21 Corresponding Members 9 Annual Subscribers 369 406 The Committee much regrets to record the loss by death during the past Session of six members of the Society, viz. Mrs. T. Andrews, Messrs. W. Henry Lewis, J.P., G. D. Mackay, E. C. Hurley, G. Carslake Thompson, and Clement Waldron. The last named was a Past President of the Society, and has always taken the greatest interest in its work and welfare. The following is a list of Papers read before the Society, viz. 1905. Oct. 12th. Annual Meeting. Presidential Address by the President, Principal E. H. Griffiths, Sc.D., F.R.S., entitled-" Recent Advances in Physical Science."
