ORNITHOLOGICAL NOTES, 1932-33. By GEOFFREY C. S. INGRAM AND H. MORREY SALMON, STARLING, Sturnis v. vulgaris L. One shot at Ogmore Vale about December 10th, 1932, had been ringed as a young bird in Hanover, Germany, on May 29th, 1932. (L. Davies.) SISKIN, Carduelis spinus (L.). One in Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, on February 27th, 1933. (S.W.W.) WHITE WAGTAIL, Motacilla a. alba L. We saw one at Llanishen Reservoirs on April 23rd, 1933. A very wide- spread passage of this species was noted during the early part of September, 1933. On the 9th of that month we saw very considerable numbers along the shore near the mouth of the River Thaw, and on the following day we saw six at Llanishen Reservoirs and two at Kenfig Pool. Mr. S. W. White recorded the species at Penarth also on the 10th and on the 11th. BRITISH NUTHATCH, Sitta e. affinis Blyth. A pair in a wood at Cyncoed, Cardiff, on April 2nd, 1933. (J.G.W.) GREENLAND WHEATEAR, Oenanthe o. leucorrhoa (Gm.). We noted several at The Leys on September 9th, 1933, and two juveniles on the 10th at Llanishen Reservoirs. BRITISH LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER, Dryobates m. comminutus (Hart.). One seen in Cefn Mably Park on April 2nd, 1933. (J.G.W.) BEWICK'S SWAN, Cygnus b. bewickii Yarr. At Kenfig Pool: Two on November 20th, 1932 (A. Rendell). Six (4 ad. and 2 juv.) in December, 1932 (C.H-S. and J.G.W.). Eleven on February 19th, 1933 (H.E.D.). BRENT GOOSE, Branta bernicla ? sub. sp. A flock of 15-20 off Porthcawl in January-February and eight in New- ton Bay on March 3rd, 1933. (C.H-S. and H.E.D.) Scaup-Duck, Nyroca m. marila (L.). We saw a pair on Lisvane Reservoir on October 16th, 1932.
