During the summer two field meetings were held. In June a visit was paid to Newton Church, Kenfig Castle, and Nottage Court, the last through the kind permission of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Blundell. Mrs. Blundell described the house and its contents, and at Newton Church Dr. Hartland gave the members the benefit of his own views on the unusual pulpit. In July, Abbey Dore and Longtown were visited. The Section made a grant of £ 5 towards the renewed excavation of the Roman villa at Llantwit Major. The membership of the Section stands at 221. The accounts show a credit balance of £ 54. 19s. 2d.
