The Section records with great sorrow the death, on 18 March 1974, of Mrs. Amy Heathcote. She was a very active member and had held many offices including President, County Recorder and Honorary Secretary for Field Meetings. She was, in addition, a member of the Glamorgan Rarities Committee, Honorary Vice- President of the Gower Ornithological Society and Honorary Member of this Section. Her main memorial within the Section is The Birds of Glamorgan 1967, in the compilation of which, as co-editor, she took such a large part. Bernfeld 21st March Film Show FIELD Meetings A party of about 45 Junior Naturalists was shown over Margam Forest with its 250 deer, and in the afternoon the Penscynor Bird Gardens, Neath, were visited. Both places were very interesting, and the talk by the chief deer ranger, Mr. R. J. Pearce, was most educational. A group walked around the Dinas Powis area, led by Mr. P.
