Film 9 November (Presidential Address) The beauty of Nature Cliff Woodhead 14 December Biology of Gulls in South Wales and the Severn Estuary Dr. Peter Ferns 11 January 1977 Members' Evening 8 February Bird Watching in Argentina Robin Prytherch (BBC) 8 March Excursions into Africa David White OUTDOOR MEETINGS All-day field meetings were held at Kenfig Pool (September), Whiteford Burrows (October), Tregaron Bog (December), Kenfig Pool (January), Exmouth (February), Oxwich (April), North Glamorgan (May) and Severn Valley (June). Half-day field meetings organised by Mrs. K. Collins and Miss D. Ingram were held at Ogmore River (September), Peterston Wentloog (October), Welsh St. Donat's (November), Llanishen/Lisvane Reservoirs (December), Ferry Road, Cardiff (January), Castell Coch (February), St. Bride's Major (March), Dinas Powis Woods (April), Pentyrch (May), Merthyr Mawr (June) and Peterston Wentloog (August). Half-day field meetings to Dinas Powis Woods, led by Mr. Philip Atkin, were held monthly from September to May. The Section continued its survey of Garden Birds in the county. The production of the 14th Annual Bird Report, 1976, under the Editorship of Mr. Peter Lansdown, was completed in July 1977. MEMBERSHIP at 31 August 1977 was 257 full members, 35 junior member and 2 Honorary Members, making a total of 294. C. G. TREW, Hon.
