Welsh alphabet and mutations

In the Welsh alphabet, the digraphs ch, dd, ff, ng, ll, ph, rh, and th are treated as separate letters, so in a Welsh alphabetic list Llandovery is listed after Longleat. In Welsh the initial letters of words are subject to lenition or elision depending on grammatical context, so that the word caer (fort) may appear in the text as caer, chaer, or gaer.
